About Us
Challice Architects is an RIBA Chartered Practice comprising people
with conscience, knowledge, talent and passion for architecture. It
makes all the difference and comes FREE of additional charge!
Challice Architects originates from the early 1900s when chartered
architect, R.M. Challice established his practice in Exeter and was
responsible for many well-known, landmark buildings in the city and
southwest England. Throughout two world wars and beyond, as family
successors were introduced, the name R.M. Challice and Son emerged.
In 1981, the practice moved to Sidmouth and was, as later rules
permitted, incorporated as Challice Architects Limited. A Plymouth
office was more recently added.
For over a hundred years, the practice has maintained a reputation
for providing a quality assured, highly personal service. Over a
broad spectrum, from the humblest of domestic extensions, alterations
and conservation work to major healthcare, commercial and retail
developments, the objective is to always provide within time and
economic constraints, workable, context-sensitive, innovative and
sustainable solutions that are, in every respect possible, sympathetic to
the environment and a worthwhile, enjoyable legacy for others.
