New Medical Centre for Dunster

A New Medical Centre for Dunster.
A planned new medical centre in Dunster moved one step closer last week when Challice Architects
submitted proposals to Exmoor National Park for planning approval.
The clients had previously engaged the same architects to design and project manage a new surgery
at Porlock.
So pleased are they with it that the Dunster project has also been entrusted to the
practice.
It is a considerable challenge, NHS Somerset and Exmoor National Park will need to be
convinced the new building will meet national standards and fit sympathetically into the beautiful
medieval village.
The doctors said “It is an exciting project and we look forward to the support of our patients in
this move.
We feel confident that we will be able to offer an excellent personalised service for
all of our patients from a modern purpose built health centre of appropriate size to the population
that we serve. ”
The planning application is expected to be scheduled for determination in March 2013.
